Biography of Christodoulos I.

Archbishop Christodoulos of Athens (* 17. January 1939 in Xanthi; † 28. January 2008 in Psychiko) was an archbishop of Athens and All Greece. He was 69 years old. His education included National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Lycée Léonin. His faith was Eastern Orthodoxy. His awards include Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Romania and honorary doctor of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. His cause of death was liver cancer. He was buried at First Cemetery of Athens.
