Biography
Cicely Saunders (* June 22, 1918 in Hertfordshire; † July 14, 2005 in London) was an english writer, doctor, founder of the hospice care movement, palliative care activist. She was 87 years old. She was married to Marian Bohusz-Szyszko. Her education included St Thomas's Hospital Medical School, St Anne's College and King's College London. Her faith was Church of England. She received 9 awards, including Templeton Prize, Four Freedoms Award – Freedom of Worship. Her cause of death was cancer.
