Claire Bretécher (* 17. April 1940 in Nantes; † 10. February 2020 in 10ᵗʰ arrondissement of Paris) was a french cartoonist. She was 79 years old. She was married to Bertrand Poirot-Delpech and Guy Carcassonne. Her education included Nantes School of Art and Nantes University. Her awards include Grand prix de la ville d'Angoulême, Max und Moritz award and Adamson Awards. She was buried at Montmartre Cemetery.
