Claude Lévi-Strauss (* 28. November 1908 in City of Brussels; † 30. October 2009 in 16th arrondissement of Paris) was a french anthropologist and ethnologist. He was 100 years old. He was married to Dina Dreyfus. His education included Lycée Condorcet, Paris Law Faculty and Lycée Janson-de-Sailly. His faith was Judaism. He received 10 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the National Order of Merit. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Lignerolles.
