Biography of Claudia Emerson

Claudia Emerson (* 13. January 1957 in Chatham; † 4. December 2014 in Richmond) was an american academic, writer and poet. She was 57 years old. Her education included University of Virginia and University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked at Virginia Commonwealth University, Randolph College and University of Mary Washington. She received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Her cause of death was colorectal cancer.
