Biography
Clifford Geertz (* August 23, 1926 in San Francisco; β October 30, 2006 in Philadelphia) was an american anthropologist. He was 80 years old. He was married to Hildred Geertz. His education included Harvard University, Antioch University and Antioch College. He received 4 awards, including Talcott Parsons Prize, Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Princeton Cemetery.
