Deke Slayton (* 1. March 1924 in Sparta; † 13. June 1993 in League City) was an uS-amerikanischer Astronaut. He was 69 years old. His education included University of Minnesota, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and Air Command and Staff College. He worked at National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He received 4 awards, including Air Medal, National Aviation Hall of Fame. His cause of death was brain cancer.
