Derek Parfit (* December 11, 1942 in Chengdu; † January 1, 2017 in London Borough of Islington) was a british philosopher. He was 74 years old. He was married to Janet Radcliffe Richards. His education included Eton College and Balliol College. He was awarded the Rolf Schock Prize in Logic and Philosophy.
