Desi Bouterse (* October 13, 1945 in Domburg; † December 23, 2024 in Suriname) was a leader of Suriname (1980–1987, 2010–2020). He was 79 years old. He was married to Ingrid Bouterse-Figueira and Ingrid Bouterse-Waldring. He had 3 children. He studied at Royal Military School. His faith was Pentecostalism. He was awarded the Honorary Order of the Yellow Star.
