Biography of Donald Byrd

Donald Byrd (* 9. December 1932 in Detroit; † 4. February 2013 in Dover) was an american recording artist; jazz and rhythm & blues trumpeter and vocalist. He was 80 years old. His education included Wayne State University, Columbia University, Cass Technical High School, Teachers College and Manhattan School of Music. His awards include Bessie Awards and NEA Jazz Masters. He was buried at Westlawn Cemetery.
