Douglas Adams (* March 11, 1952 in Cambridge; † May 11, 2001 in Santa Barbara) was a british science fiction writer and humorist. He was 49 years old. He was married to Jane Belson. His education included Brentwood School and St John's College. His faith was atheism. His awards include Inkpot Award and Ditmar Award for Best International Fiction. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
