Biography of Edmund Dzierżyński

Edmund Dzierżyński (* 15. May 1838 in Ašmiany; † 1. January 1882 in Vilna Governorate) was a father of Felix Dzerzhinsky. He was 43 years old. He was married to Helena Dzierżyńska. He had at least 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). He studied at Saint Petersburg State University. He was awarded the Order of Saint Anna, 3rd class. His cause of death was tuberculosis. He was buried at Stoŭbcy District.
