Edmund Wilson (* 8. May 1895 in Red Bank; † 12. June 1972 in Talcottville) was an uS-amerikanischer Schriftsteller und Literaturkritiker. He was 77 years old. He was married to Mary McCarthy and Elena Mumm Thornton Wilson. His education included The Hill School, Princeton University and Columbia University. He worked at Wesleyan University, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and The New Republic. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, Emerson-Thoreau Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom. His cause of death was cardiovascular disease. He was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
