Édouard Glissant (* September 21, 1928 in Sainte-Marie; †February 3, 2011 in 15th arrondissement of Paris) was a martiniquais writer. He was 82 years old. He studied at Faculty of Arts of Paris. His awards include Prix Renaudot, Charles Veillon prize in the French language and Prize of the Magazine Études françaises.
