Elie Wiesel (* September 30, 1928 in Sighetu Marmației; † July 2, 2016 in New York City) was a romanian-born American writer, professor, political activist, Nobel laureate, and Holocaust survivor. He was 87 years old. He was married to Marion Wiesel. He studied at Faculty of Arts of Paris. His faith was Judaism. He received 6 awards, including Nobel Peace Prize, Norman Mailer Prize. He was buried at Kensico Cemetery.
