Eugène Baret (* 16. December 1816 in Bergerac; † 4. April 1887 in 15th arrondissement of Paris) was a french writer and translator. He was 70 years old. His education included Lycée Henri-IV, École Normale Supérieure and Faculty of Arts of Paris. He worked at Revue pédagogique. His awards include Knight of the Legion of Honour, Officier de l'Instruction publique and Langlois prize.
