Eunice Kennedy Shriver (* July 10, 1921 in Brookline; † August 11, 2009 in Hyannis) was an american philanthropist; founder of the Special Olympics; sister of John F. Kennedy. She was 88 years old. She was married to Sargent Shriver. Her education included Stanford University and Manhattanville University. Her faith was Roman Catholic. She received 9 awards, including Grand Gold Decoration of Styria, Great Golden Medal of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery.
