Biography of Evangelista Torricelli

Evangelista Torricelli (* 15. October 1608 in Rome; † 25. October 1647 in Florence) was an italienischer Physiker und Mathematiker. He was 39 years old. His education included Sapienza University of Rome and Roman College. He worked at Galileo Galilei, Ferdinando II de' Medici, University of Pisa, University of Florence, Benedetto Castelli and Giovanni Ciampoli. His cause of death was typhoid fever. He was buried at Basilica of San Lorenzo.
