Biography
Francisco da Costa Gomes (* June 30, 1914 in Chaves; † July 31, 2001 in Lisbon) was a portuguese military officer and politician. He was 87 years old. He was married to Maria Estela Veloso de Antas Varajão. He studied at University of Porto. His faith was Catholicism. His awards include Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights and Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. He was buried at Alto de São João Cemetery.
