Frans Eemil Sillanpää (* 16. September 1888 in Hämeenkyrö; † 3. June 1964 in Helsinki) was a finnischer Schriftsteller. He was 75 years old. He was married to Sigrid Salomäki and Anna von Hertzen. His education included Jumesniemi Church School, Haukijärvi School, Tampereen lyseon lukio and University of Helsinki. His awards include Nobel Prize in Literature, Aleksis Kivi Award and Commander First Class of the Order of the Lion of Finland. He was buried at Hämeenkyrö old cemetery.
