Biography of Frederic M. Richards

Frederic M. Richards (* 19. August 1925 in New York City; † 11. January 2009 in Guilford) was a biochemist, biophysicist, crystallographer, and sailor; founder and chair of Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. He was 83 years old. His education included Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Phillips Exeter Academy. He worked at Yale University. He received 4 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Pfizer Award in Enzyme Chemistry.
