Biography
Friedrich Hirzebruch (* October 17, 1927 in Hamm; † May 27, 2012 in Bonn) was a german mathematician. He was 84 years old. His education included University of Münster and ETH Zurich. He received 10 awards, including Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order, Knight Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was buried at Poppelsdorf Cemetery.
