Biography
George McGovern (* July 19, 1922 in Avon; † October 21, 2012 in Sioux Falls) was an american historian and politician. He was 90 years old. He was married to Eleanor McGovern. He had 5 children. His education included Dakota Wesleyan University, Northwestern University, Mitchell High School and Garrett–Evangelical Theological Seminary. His faith was Methodism. He received 4 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, Gandhi Peace Award. He was buried at Rock Creek Cemetery.
