George Roy Hill (* December 20, 1921 in Minneapolis; † December 27, 2002 in New York City) was an american film director. He was 81 years old. He was married to Louisa Horton. He had 4 children. His education included Yale University, Blake School, HB Studio and Silliman College. He received 7 awards, including Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing – Feature Film, Academy Award for Best Director. His cause of death was Parkinson's disease.
