Gordon Parks (* November 30, 1912 in Fort Scott; † March 7, 2006 in New York City) was an american photographer, musician, writer and film director. He was 93 years old. He was married to Genevieve Young. He had at least 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter). His education included St. Paul Central High School, Ricker College and Storm King School. He received 8 awards, including Spingarn Medal, National Medal of Arts. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
