Guido Gezelle (* 1. May 1830 in Bruges; † 27. November 1899 in Bruges) was a belgischer Dichter, Journalist, Lehrer, Klosterdirektor und Priester. He was 69 years old. His education included Klein Seminarie Roeselare, Bruges seminary, Episcopal College Our-Lady Ter Duinen and Private School Jan-Pieter Brans. He worked at Klein Seminarie Roeselare, English college, English Seminary, Engels Klooster, Congregation of the Sisters Paulinen, Sisters of the Child Jesus, Patronaat van de Katrientjes, 't Jaer 30, Gazette van Kortrijk and Roman Catholic Diocese of Bruges. His faith was Catholicism. His awards include Honorary doctor of the Catholic University of Louvain, Knight of the Order of Leopold and Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice. He was buried at Centrale Begraafplaats.
