Biography of Gustav Robert Kirchhoff

Gustav Robert Kirchhoff (* 12. March 1824 in Königsberg; † 17. October 1887 in Berlin) was a deutscher Physiker. He was 63 years old. He was married to Clara Richelot. His education included University of Königsberg and Kneiphof Gymnasium. He worked at Frederick William University Berlin, University of Wrocław and Heidelberg University. He received 9 awards, including Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order, Cothenius Medal. He was buried at Alter St.-Matthäus-Kirchhof Berlin.
