Biography of Hamilton Othanel Smith

Hamilton Smith (* 23. August 1931 in New York City; † 25. October 2025 in Ellicott City) was an american microbiologist. He was 94 years old. His education included University of California, Berkeley, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, University Laboratory High School and Johns Hopkins University. He received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Princess of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research.
