Biography
Ilan Ramon (* June 20, 1954 in Ramat Gan; † February 1, 2003 in Texas) was an israeli fighter pilot and later the first Israeli astronaut. He was 48 years old. He was married to Rona Ramon. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Tel Aviv University and Israeli Air Force Flight Academy. His awards include NASA Space Flight Medal and Chief of Staff Medal of Appreciation. He was buried at Nahalal cemetery.
