Biography
Irena Veisaitė (* February 9, 1928 in Kaunas; † December 11, 2020 in Vilnius) was a lithuanian academic. She was 92 years old. She was married to Grigori Kromanov. Her education included Lomonosov Moscow State University and Saint Petersburg State University. Her awards include Goethe Medal and Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Her cause of death was COVID-19. She was buried at Pärnamäe Cemetery.
