Irving Lowens (* 19. August 1916 in New York City; † 14. November 1983 in Baltimore) was an american musicologist, music critic and librarian. He was 67 years old. He was married to Margery Morgan Lowens. He studied at University of Maryland. He worked at The Washington Star, Library of Congress, Peabody Institute and Civil Aeronautics Administration. He was awarded the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award. He was buried at Dunmore Cemetery.
