İslam Ələsgər (* 22. June 1925 in Azat; † 6. October 2014 in Goygol District) was an azerbaijani scientist. He was 89 years old. He studied at Baku State University. He worked at Institute of Folklore (Azerbaijan). He was awarded the Jubilee Medal "Ashig Alasgar – 200".
