Biography of Jaan Tõnisson

Jaan Tõnisson (* 22. December 1868 in Viiratsi Rural Municipality; † 1. January 1941 in Tallinn) was an estnischer Jurist und Politiker; Ministerpräsident und Staatsoberhaupt der Ersten Republik Estland. He was 72 years old. His education included Gustav Adolf Grammar School and Imperial University of Dorpat. He worked at University of Tartu. He received 5 awards, including Order of the White Star, 1st Class, 1st Class of the Order of the Cross of the Eagle.
