Biography of Jacek Karpiński

Jacek Karpiński (* 9. April 1927 in Turin; † 21. February 2010 in Wrocław) was a polnischer Pionier der Informatik. He was 82 years old. His education included Warsaw University of Technology and Łódź University of Technology. He worked at Warel, Polish Academy of Sciences and University of Warsaw. His awards include Officer of the Order of Polonia Restituta, Commander of the Order of Polonia Restituta and Cross of Valour. He was buried at Protestant Reformed Cemetery in Warsaw.
