Jakob Smirnow (* 1. December 1906 in Yelninsky Uyezd; † 12. January 2000 in Almaty) was a sowjetischer Kamermann und Filmregisseur. He was 93 years old. He studied at Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. He worked at Kazakhfilm and Russian Central Studio of Documentary Films. He received 4 awards, including Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class.
