James J. Hill (* 16. September 1838 in Guelph/Eramosa; † 29. May 1916 in Saint Paul) was an american railroad promoter and financier. He was 77 years old. He was married to Mary Theresa Mehegan Hill. He had at least 6 children (3 sons and 3 daughters). His education included Rockwood Academy and Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute. He was awarded the Person of National Historic Significance. He was buried at Resurrection Cemetery.
