James Luna (* 1. January 1950 in Orange; † 4. March 2018 in New Orleans) was a luiseño-Mexican-American performance and installation artist from the La Jolla Indian Reservation in California.. He was 68 years old. His education included San Diego State University and University of California, Irvine. He worked at University of California, San Diego. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
