Biography of James Murdoch Austin

James Murdoch Austin (* 25. May 1915 in Dunedin; † 26. November 2000 in Concord) was an american mathematician. He was 85 years old. He was married to Pauline Morrow Austin. His education included University of New Zealand, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Otago. He worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was awarded the Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
