Jan Rompsczi (* 8. December 1913 in Kartuzy; † 30. December 1969 in Toruń) was a kashubian activist, poet, writer, journalist and ethnographer. He was 56 years old. He studied at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. His awards include Medal of the 10th Anniversary of People's Poland, Medal of Victory and Freedom 1945 and Silver Cross of Merit. He was buried at Parish cemetary in Kartuzy.
