Biography of Jānis Čakste

Jānis Čakste (* 14. September 1859 in Viesturi Parish; † 14. March 1927 in Riga) was a lettischer Politiker. He was 67 years old. He had at least 3 children (3 sons). His education included Moscow Imperial University, Faculty of Law and Academia Petrina. He worked at University of Latvia. He received 5 awards, including Order of the Three Stars, 1st Class, Grand Cordon of the Order of Leopold. He was buried at Forest Cemetery.
