Biography
Jean Bartik (* December 27, 1924 in Alanthus Grove; † March 23, 2011 in Poughkeepsie) was an american ENIAC computer programmer. She was 86 years old. Her education included Northwest Missouri State University and University of Pennsylvania. Her awards include Computer Pioneer Award, Computer History Museum Fellow and Women in Technology Hall of Fame. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Jennings Cemetery.
