Biography of Jean-Pierre Babelon

Jean-Pierre Babelon (* 17. November 1931 in 6th arrondissement of Paris; † 2. February 2024 in 18th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer Historiker. He was 92 years old. His education included École des chartes and École du Louvre. He worked at École pratique des hautes études, Archives nationales, Palace of Versailles and Museum of the History of France. He received 10 awards, including Commander of the Legion of Honour, Grand Officer of the National Order of Merit. He was buried at Sarrey cemetery.
