Jean-Pierre Rampal (* January 7, 1922 in Marseille; † May 20, 2000 in Paris) was a french flutist. He was 78 years old. His education included Lycée Thiers and Conservatoire de Paris. His awards include Léonie Sonning Music Prize and Officer of Arts and Letters. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Montparnasse Cemetery.
