Biography of Jean Rouch

Jean Rouch (* 31. May 1917 in Paris; † 18. February 2004 in Birni-N'Konni) was a french film director and ethnologist. He was 86 years old. He was married to Jane Rouch. His education included École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, École nationale des langues orientales vivantes and Institut d'ethnologie. His awards include Liotard Award and Honorary doctor of Leiden University. His cause of death was traffic collision. He was buried at Niamey.
