Johannes Urzidil (* 3. February 1896 in Prague; † 2. November 1970 in Rome) was a österreichisch-tschechoslowakischer Schriftsteller. He was 74 years old. He was married to Gertrude Urzidil. He received 4 awards, including Grand Austrian State Prize for Literature, Charles Veillon prize in the German language. He was buried at Campo Santo Teutonico.
