John Hope (* 2. June 1868 in Augusta; † 22. February 1936 in Atlanta) was an african-American educator and political activist. He was 67 years old. He was married to Lugenia Burns Hope. His education included Brown University and Worcester Academy. His awards include Spingarn Medal and William E. Harmon Foundation award for distinguished achievement among Negroes. He was buried at Morehouse College.
