Biography
John Lewis (* May 3, 1920 in La Grange; † March 29, 2001 in New York City) was an american jazz pianist, composer and arranger. He was 80 years old. His education included University of New Mexico, Manhattan School of Music and Albuquerque High School. He was awarded the NEA Jazz Masters. His cause of death was prostate cancer.
