John M. Hightower (* 17. September 1909 in Rocky Top; † 10. February 1987) was an american reporter. He was 77 years old. He studied at University of Tennessee. He worked at Associated Press, Knoxville News Sentinel and University of New Mexico. His awards include Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting and Knight of the Legion of Honour.
