John Presper Eckert (* 6. April 1919 in Philadelphia; † 3. June 1995 in Bryn Mawr) was an uS-amerikanischer Computerpionier. He was 76 years old. He studied at University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science. He worked at Moore School of Electrical Engineering, Eckert–Mauchly Computer Corporation, Remington Rand, Sperry Rand and Unisys. He received 9 awards, including Harold Pender Award, IEEE Emanuel R. Piore Award. His cause of death was leukemia.
