John R. Pierce (* March 27, 1910 in Des Moines; † April 2, 2002 in Sunnyvale) was an american electrical engineer, acoustics expert, and author. He was 92 years old. He studied at California Institute of Technology. He received 10 awards, including National Medal of Science, Edison Medal. His cause of death was pneumonia.
